Powder coating ON&ON shelving components
Posted on

Our shelving system components, shelves and cabinets are formed from aluminium and all have a powder coated finish. See our latest video showing how the dry powder is applied to one of our parts.

In many high end applications the components are electro coated following the pretreatment process, and this is particularly useful in automotive and other applications requiring high end characteristics. After the application of powder, parts are cured under heat, normally the powders cure at 200 °C (390 °F) for 10 minutes. The curing process can vary according to the manufacturer’s specifications by convection cure ovens, infrared cure ovens, or by laser curing process creating a hard and tough finish.

Powder coatings have a major advantage in that the overspray can be recycled, if you would like to read more about powder coating just click here.

If you are looking to specify or pick a colour we would recommend looking at a physical Ral colour chart as looking on screen there can be variations in colours with different monitor or screen settings. To start you can see a list of Ral Classic colours here.

You can read more here about our bespoke colour shelves up to 2.4m in length, standard powder coated colours are black or white and available up to 5m in length.
