2. Grand Designs Live – May
If you're planning a self-build or renovation—or just love Kevin McCloud—Grand Designs Live at ExCeL London is a must. There’s a full-size show home to wander through, expert talks, and loads of eco-friendly innovations on display. It’s practical, inspiring, and full of clever ideas you can bring home. 3. London Festival of Architecture – June
The London Festival of Architecture is the largest of its kind in the world, and it’s packed with over 500 public events throughout June. From walking tours and installations to thought-provoking talks, it’s a brilliant way to see how architecture shapes the spaces we live in—and how cities like London can become even more imaginative, inclusive, and sustainable. 4. London Design Biennale – June
Hosted at the stunning Somerset House, London Design Biennale brings together design visionaries from all over the world. The 2025 theme, Surface Reflections, promises bold ideas and innovative thinking. Expect thought-provoking exhibits that explore how design intersects with culture, community, and creativity. 5. Don’t Move, Improve! – June
Thinking of renovating? You’ll love Don’t Move, Improve!, an evening event by New London Architecture that showcases London’s most inspiring home transformations. Hear from award-winning architects in fast-paced, fun PechaKucha presentations and get real insight into what makes a renovation project work—from layout tricks to sustainability ideas. 6. London Design Festival – September

In September, London becomes a living gallery during the London Design Festival. With more than 400 events across the city, from pop-up installations to design talks and product launches, there’s always something to discover. 7. Open House Festival – September
If you’ve ever wanted to peek behind the doors of London's private homes, heritage buildings, and even government offices—Open House Festival is your chance. It’s totally free and incredibly fun. 8. The Design Museum – All Year Round

For a dose of inspiration any time of year, head to the Design Museum in Kensington. It’s a beautiful space that celebrates everything from fashion and architecture to digital design. 9. Ideal Home Show – April
Looking for ideas that are beautiful and practical? The Ideal Home Show at Olympia London is packed with them. Now in its 117th year (!), this event has everything from show homes and garden ideas to interior trends and cooking demos.
